Anesthesiologist

Dr. P M. Chandrasekhara is a Recipient of B C Roy Award. From 1971, he has had a long 48-year career in anesthesiology. Prof. P M Chandrasekhara is a professor at MS Ramaiah Medical College and Vydehi Medical College Hospital in Bengaluru. He graduated from Bangalore University and Kanpur University, and he received cardiac anesthesia training in the UK (Sheffield).While serving as the Head of the Department of Anesthesiology at numerous medical colleges in Hubli, Bellary, and Bengaluru as well as at the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology in Bengaluru, he significantly advanced the study and practice of anesthesiology. A number of scientific congress meetings have been presided over by Prof. P. M. Chandrasekhara.

Anesthesia is the specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. The doctor who gives a patient medication, so they do not feel pain when they are undergoing surgery is called an Anesthesiologist.
